The OG Spy of YRF Universe, Salman Khan is back as Tiger with his Diwali 2023 release, Tiger 3. The Maneesh Sharma film opened bookings for the audiences on Saturday and the response has been overwhelming. According to our tracking, Tiger 3 has sold approximately 2.75 lakh tickets across India for the opening day, amounting to a total collection of Rs. 8 crores.

This means, with 5 days still to go for the release, Tiger 3 has already earned Rs. 8 crore at the box office in India. The movement is a little slower than Pathaan and Jawan, but a lot better than other Rs. 30 crore plus openers like Gadar 2, KGF 2 and Brahmastra. Tiger 3 has actually recorded the biggest advance for a feature film from Hindi in the post-pandemic world outside of the two Shah Rukh Khan starrers.

The difference between Tiger 3 from Jawan and Pathaan is also due to fan club bookings, which happened in big numbers for SRK, via SRK Universe and SRK Warriors as reported by Bollywood Hungama before. Talking of National Chains, Tiger 3 has sold approximately 1 lakh tickets in the three national chains – PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis – for the opening day alone.

The film is on track to record one of the biggest advance bookings of all time in national chains and that would be in spite of a release on the weakest day of film business – Diwali Day. Tiger 3 will be looking to score an advance of 3,50,000 tickets in PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis, which would be higher than Gadar 2 (2,85,000 tickets) and Brahmastra (3,03,000 tickets).
