Filmmaker Prashanth Neel’s KGF: Chapter 1 (2018), which starred Yash in the lead, tasted success, not just in south but also in the Hindi belt. His next, KGF: Chapter 2 (2022) became a runaway Pan-India blockbuster and its Hindi version became the highest grossing Hindi film for some time. The director brought his next in the form of Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, which starred the Baahubali star Prabhas, along with Prithviraj Sukumaran in a pivotal role.
The Hindi version of Salaar has been doing a decent business despite clashing with mega star Shah Rukh Khan and blockbuster director Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. The Prabhas starrer, in its Hindi version, has now reached the Rs. 100 crores mark on its eighth day yesterday where it scored a respectable Rs. 6.2 crores.
Salaar released on December 22 and scored a fine score of Rs. 18 crores in Hindi. The film had its best day on Sunday December 24 where it amassed an impressive Rs. 20 crores. From here onwards, the movie has been earning decently and hanging in well despite competition from Dunki. The film’s total right now in Hindi stands at Rs. 101.45 crores.
Produced by Hombale Films, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire also stars Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Sriya Reddy, among others.
