Maamla Legal Hai, a courtroom comedy-drama series, will be released on March 1 on Netflix, the makers announced on Wednesday. It stars Ravi Kishan, Nidhi Bisht, Anant V Joshi, Naila Grewal and Yashpal Sharma in pivotal roles. With Sameer Saxena as the showrunner, the series is directed by Rahul Pandey and written by Saurabh Khanna and Kunal Aneja.
The series is set in the fictional Patparganj District Court and explores the world of law through some absurd cases. Actor Ravi Kishan plays the role of VD Tyagi, who is the President of the Patparganj Bar Association and dreams of becoming the Attorney General of India. The series draws inspiration from some unbelievable real-life cases and takes the help of humour to make observations on democracy.
Maamla Legal Hai is produced by Amit Golani, Biswapati Sarkar, Sameer Saxena and Saurabh Khanna.
