The first track, ‘Hauli Hauli’, from the upcoming comedy-drama Khel Khel Mein has officially dropped, setting the tone for a fun-filled and energetic ride. The song, composed and penned by Guru Randhawa, boasts vocals from the singer himself, Neha Kakkar, and Yo Yo Honey Singh. This trio has previously delivered chart-topping hits like ‘Banja Tu Meri Rani’ and ‘Morni Banke,’ and ‘Hauli Hauli’ is poised to follow in their footsteps.
Khel Khel Mein: Fardeen Khan calls Akshay Kumar’s discipline ‘inspiring’; pumped about his first theatrical release in 14 years: “I’m just really happy to be a part of it”
Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal come together on screen to create a vibrant and lively atmosphere that perfectly complements the upbeat track. The song’s launch in Mumbai on July 25 was a star-studded affair, albeit without the presence of the film’s leading man, Akshay Kumar.
Fardeen Khan, who is making his theatrical comeback after 14 years with this film, expressed his enthusiasm for the project and his co-stars. “The warmth and love that you saw in the song is what we try to recreate, and I think we’ve achieved that successfully. We’ve become friends in the process. We’ve had a lot of fun working with each other, working off each other, and it’s a film about friendships. It’s a film about getting to know each other better. And that’s exactly how and when we all met, we were kind of strangers. There were lots of things I’m sure we’ve discovered about each other, which some things I can’t say on this stage for obvious reasons, but there’s been an absolute pleasure.”
He lauded Akshay Kumar’s dedication and discipline, emphasizing his inspiring influence on the set. “But of course, I got to acknowledge Akshay Kumar’s discipline. This will be his 151st film. He is leading the star cast and his passion, dedication, his discipline have to be seen, to believe. So I mean, having worked with him before, it’s always inspiring. And it’s such a great opportunity for me to work with him again after so long,” Khan said.
Khan also praised director Mudassar Aziz for his ability to infuse genuine emotions into the film. He added, “And of course, the director is the captain of the ship, and it all starts from him, and what the story he’s trying to say. Mudassar is always, as far as I know, the best and his films are very true to himself. That’s what he’s tried to say and that’s the spirit in which this film has been made.”
He concluded by saying, “Then very truthfully, I’m just really happy to be a part of it, and, it’s going to be my first theatrical in 14 years, and my last theatrical. And the irony is, my last theatrical was with Mudassar so thank you for bringing me back, and I love you, man.”
The launch event was a high-energy affair with Guru Randhawa, Neha Kakkar, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal, Pragya Jaiswal, and director Mudassar Aziz setting the stage on fire with their performances.
Khel Khel Mein is slated to hit theaters on August 15, 2024, promising a perfect blend of humour and emotions. The film is a joint venture between Gulshan Kumar’s T-Series and Wakaoo Films, and is produced by a stellar team including Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashwin Varde, Vipul D. Shah, Rajesh Bahl, Shashikant Sinha, and Ajay Rai.
