After a solid opening weekend of Rs. 112 crores, the Nag Ashwin directed Kalki 2898 AD is refusing to slow down at the box office in Hindi markets. According to our tracking, Kalki 2898 AD has collected in the range of Rs. 17 to 18 crores, taking the 5-day total collections to approx. Rs. 130 crores.

The film, starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan in the lead, is on the way to emerge a blockbuster in Hindi, as the trend so far suggests a sure shot entry in the Rs. 300 crore club. It’s a drop of merely 15 percent from Friday and the film has now set itself up for a very good run at the box office.

The first week of Kalki 2898 AD will be in the range of Rs. 170 crores, and an entry in the 200 crore club by the end of 2nd weekend is confirmed. The film has received positive reviews from the audiences and critics alike and is now headed to emerge as a major money spinner for all the stakeholders.

The film is doing well in the South Indian versions too and will be looking at a global finish around the Rs. 1000 crore mark.
