The Bollywood film industry recently saw the super success of the Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2. Directed by Anil Sharma, the film went onto score over Rs. 500 crores and is still playing in some theatres. Hence, there were some doubts raised on whether the audience will throng the theatres in large numbers for another event film like Jawan in less than a month’s time.

Such voices have been proved totally wrong as the Shah Rukh Khan starrer has gone onto become the first Bollywood movie to score over Rs. 200 crores in just three days in all languages.

Along with that, Jawan has also created another record for itself. It has registered the highest single day score for a Bollywood movie by amassing Rs. 77.83 crores yesterday. In doing so, Jawan has broken its own record of earning Rs. 75 crores on its opening day on Thursday September 7. The movie has occupied the top 2 spots in the list of highest single day scores in Bollywood. Interestingly, the next 3 spots in the list are occupied by SRK’s own Pathaan.

Produced by SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment, Jawan is directed by Atlee Kumar and the film also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priya Mani, Deepika Padukone, among others.
