The first announcement itself of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan created excitement among the actor’s large fan following. As the promotions kick-started and the release date neared, the excitement gave way to hysteria. Today, as the film has finally released, it seems that the crazy anticipation has been worth. The film is receiving rave reviews for his exciting content and SRK’s performance. But along with that, it is also set to create new benchmarks at the box office.

Jawan Box Office: Shah Rukh Khan starrer earns Rs. 19.35 crores by 12 noon on Day 1 in 2 leading multiplex chains

Jawan released early morning today and so far, the collections have been mammoth. As per latest update, the movie has earned Rs. 19.35 crores on Day 1 in the two biggest multiplex chains in India and that too just by 12 noon. To break up the figure, Jawan has made Rs. 15.60 crores and Rs. 3.75 crores in PVR Inox and Cinepolis so far.

Jawan is all set to beat the record of Pathaan, KGF Chapter 2 (Hindi version) and War, which made Rs. 27.02 crores, Rs. 22.15 crores and Rs. 19.67 crores respectively in the two aforementioned multiplex chains on their Day 1.

One needs to note that the collections of Jawan are only till 12 noon and the number is expected to increase rapidly as the day progresses. Plus, it doesn’t include the numbers of other multiplex chains and numerous single screen theatres across India.
