HINDUSTANI 2 is the story of a national hero. Chitra Aravindhan (Siddharth), based in Chennai, runs a YouTube channel called Barking Dogs along with his friends through which they expose wrongdoings in the society. Though they try their best, their efforts prove futile in eliminating corruption. This is when Chitra… starts a #BringBackIndian campaign on social media, hoping that it would reach Senapathy (Kamal Haasan) and he would return to rescue the country. As luck would have it, Senapathy, who is settled in Taiwan, happens to learn about the campaign and people urging him to return. He thus flies back to India. Not just the aam junta but even the cops get excited about his return as they hope that they’ll finally get to catch him red handed, which they failed to do so in 1996. What happens next forms the rest of the film.
