On the occasion of Deepika Padukone’s birthday, the makers of Fighter, Siddharth Anand’s aerial-actioner in which she stars alongside Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor, shared some behind-the-scenes footage from the film’s shoot.
In a video, shared by Viacom18 studios (the film’s production house) on their official Instagram account, Deepika has been described as “Sassy”, “Beautiful” and “Badass”. The video shows her enjoying light moments while shooting for songs like ‘Sher Khul Gaye’ and ‘Ishq Jaisa Kuch’. We also see her in an Air Force uniform. Deepika plays Minal Rathore aka ‘Minni’ a Squadron Leader from the coveted Air Dragons unit in the film.
While sharing Deepika’s BTS on their social media, makers jotted down the caption – “Fearless, fiery with a heart of a #Fighter Happy Birthday, @deepikapadukone! #Fighter Forever #FighterOn25thJan.”
The teaser of the film was released earlier this month. It starts with the lines, “To find us? You must be good. To catch us? You must be fast. To beat us? You must be Joking!” And as these lines end on the screen, the engine of the fighter plane revs up to show us a stylish Patty (Hrithik Roshan), and a charming Minnu (Deepika Padukone), piloting their fighter jets with suave. With elements of drama, romance and patriotism, and a novel version of Vande Mataram, the Fighter teaser promises us that “Republic Day will never be the same again.”
Directed by Siddharth Anand, Fighter is backed by Ajit Andhare (Viacom18 Studios), Mamta Anand, Ramon Chibb, and Anku Pande. It will hit the theatres on January 25, 2024.
