Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan overtakes both Gadar 2 and Pathaan, is now the highest grossing Hindi film of- Cinema express

Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan has overtaken both Pathaan and Gadar 2: The Katha Continues to become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time in the domestic market. This comes a day after Gadar 2 surpassed Pathaan’s lifetime collection.

The film’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment took to Instagram on Friday and stated that the film’s domestic box office collection (gross) stands at Rs 584.32 crore. As per industry trade tracker Sacnilk, Jawan, on its 22nd day, earned Rs 5.81 crore (nett) which pushed the total Hindi net collection of the movie to Rs 525.50 crore, making it the biggest movie in Hindi. Gadar 2, so far has minted Rs 524.80 crore while Pathaan made Rs 524.53 crore earlier this year.

Jawan and Pathaan have made Shah Rukh Khan the highest grossing actor in a single year.

Directed by Atlee, Jawan also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, and Ridhi Dogra, among others. Deepika Padukone has a cameo appearance in the film.
