Zara Bachke Zara Hatke has emerged as a hit at the box office. The start of the film exceeded all expectations as Rs. 5.49 crores came in. Then weekend growth was quite impressive with Sunday coming close to double digits (Rs. 9.90 crores) and then overall Rs. 22.59 crores been accumulated. Now the weekdays have held up well too and that has resulted in the first week standing at Rs. 37.35 crores.
This is a very good score for a film that has been made at moderate costs of under Rs. 50 crores and would now see a major share of its budget recovered from theatrical revenue itself till it stays in theatres. Typically, a film like this would have had theatrical revenue as an added bonus since the cost gets recovered through OTT, satellite and music. In case of this Dinesh Vijan production, the reverse has happened and now all these other avenues would prove to be good for the film with massive profits coming in.
The film is set to hit Rs. 50 crores mark this Sunday and then get very close to Rs. 60 crores by the time the second week is through. Post that there would be some more collections coming in too, which means there is a distinct possibility of Rs. 65 crores mark been eventually crossed.
