The Kortala Siva film, Devara, which marked the return of NTR Jr to the big screen after the SS Rajamouli-directed RRR has shown good results at the box office in the opening weekend in Hindi. After opening at Rs. 7.95 crores on Friday, the film collected Rs. 9.50 crores on Saturday and finally, Rs. 10.75 crores on Sunday.

With this, the film is now on a very good position and the hold in collections on Monday, followed by the mid-week jump on Wednesday due to Gandhi Jayanti will decide the lifetime business. Right now, it looks like a fight to finish around the Rs. 75 crore mark in Hindi and emerge a clean hit.

NTR Jr. is all set for a long innings in Hindi, as Devara has proved that there is enough interest in the audience in North India for his feature films. While the 3-day weekend total is around the Rs. 28.25 crore mark, we need to see if Devara can hit the Rs. 4.50 crore mark on Monday, and hit a half-century in the first week.

Devara has acted as a good filler at the box office post-Stree 2, will benefit from a two week run until the release of Jigra and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video on October 11.
